Mr. Quaranta is a trial lawyer for business people, focusing his trial practice on complex commercial litigation, including securities, insurance, and employment litigation.  Since 2002, he has been rated AV Preeminent™ (Highest Competency and Ethics Rating from Martindale-Hubbell).  He has been recognized by his peers as a member of the Florida Legal Elite™, Best Lawyers in America™ and SuperLawyers™ for commercial litigation.  In 2017, Mr. Quaranta attained membership into The National Trial Lawyers: Top 100 Civil Plaintiff Trial Lawyers.

In Mr. Quaranta’s 28 years of practice, he has tried cases in federal and state courts throughout Florida, as well as before the NASD, FINRA, and American Arbitration Association.  His clients have ranged from Fortune 500 companies and their officer and directors to small business owners.  He has been general counsel to two U.S. defense contractors.

Mr. Quaranta received his law degree from the University of Miami School of Law (J.D., magna cum laude, 1991) where he was awarded the Thomas P. McDougall Full Academic Scholarship.  He was elected by his fellow classmates as member of the University of Miami Honor Council and was a member of the University of Miami Law Review.

Mr. Quaranta received his undergraduate degree in Economics from Georgetown University (B.A., 1987).  Mr. Quaranta is a four-year varsity letter winner at Georgetown where he played both football and baseball.  Mr. Quaranta is a retired little league coach, and served as past Chairman to Florida Bar Grievance Committee 11-F. He is a resident of Coral Gables, Florida, where he lives with his wife and two teenage sons.

Originally from Seattle, Washington, Ms. Biela joined the firm in August 2020. She graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 2017 with a degree in Biological Sciences, as well as minors in Chemistry and German Language.  She then moved on to earn her law degree at the University of Miami, where she received the Dean’s Merit full academic scholarship, and graduated in May 2020.  During her time at the University of Miami, she served as an intern for the Environmental Justice Clinic, gaining experience in policy, code enforcement, and small government. Natasha also participated in the University’s Litigation Skills Program and served as an extern at the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s office, working in the misdemeanor domestic violence division. Natasha is a Homestead resident who enjoys spending time at home with her two dogs and creating oil and acrylic paintings.

Renato Duarte Franco de Moraes is of counsel to the firm and practices law in his native São Paulo, Brazil.  Mr. Moraes assists the firm in cross-border civil disputes involving Brazilian expatriates living in Florida.  Mr. Moraes is a trial lawyer who focuses his practice on litigating before the federal courts of Brazil and international arbitration proceedings.  Mr. Moraes has expertise in representing clients in complex commercial litigation, cases of fraud, partnership disputes and collection matters.

Kristine Rodriguez, a Miami native, joined the firm in 2019 with over 10 years of experience exclusively in civil litigation. From complex litigation cases to more simple matters, Kristine is involved from beginning to end. She uses her considerable multitasking skills to provide detailed support to both clients, and the attorneys. Aside from managing the day to day business operations, Kristine provides regular assistance and updates to clients, manages the discovery process, maintains the case calendar and deadlines, and creates first drafts pleadings and letters. She also maintains all documents in the client case file, and is integral in preparing for mediations, arbitrations, hearings, and trials. Kristine graduated from Florida International University in 2012 with a degree in Paralegal Studies. Outside of work, Kristine is an avid photographer and enjoys cheering on her three boys at their sports games.

After a highly successful career in education, Ann retired as superintendent of schools of West Park New York.  She proceeded to Pace University for her JD degree and upon graduation Ann was admitted to the New York and Connecticut bars whereupon she established her own law firm specializing in probate and family law. She was popular for litigating delicate probate matters in both New York Surrogates Court and Connecticut Probate courts and when necessary, in New York and Connecticut civil courts. Upon closing her offices in New York and Connecticut, Ann moved to Coral Gables to work with her son John and has been a behind the scenes presence. Although now retired, she is still an available resource to her son John.
